Description
Spend your holidays in this unique, one-of-a-kind mansion in Meaulne, which has 5 bedrooms and a private swimming pool. You can relax here to the fullest. It is ideal to bring together a large family of 10 persons or 2 smaller families.
The mansion is 100 m from the Tronçais forest immersed in peace and tranquillity. If you're interested in an active holiday, several walking and hiking trails start from the door. The town center of Meaulne and supermarkets are 5 km if you wish to go shopping. You can visit the castles in the region including Château de Peufeilhoux at 6 km, Château de Chandon at 23 km, and the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil at 16 km.
The kitchen is well-equipped to prepare meals of your choice. Meals can be enjoyed on the private terrace or the balcony as per your wish. Children can play for hours in the garden while you make yourself comfortable on the sun loungers by the pool (pool is not heated). The evenings are better with barbecued meals and some wine. You can bring a pet for free.
Arrival: Not before 4 p.m. due to the passage of the cleaning teams
Washing machine: 15 euros/10kg machine (see with the owner)
Possibility to order a dinner for your arrival : 29 euros per person with starter, main course, dessert (several choices possible) (Orders need to be mentioned 3 weeks before your arrival to your host)

A very successful holiday! Manoir du Mortier is a beautiful house, very comfortable and tastefully decorated with a beautiful terrace and swimming pool and located in the middle of the woods. The bedroom in the round tower by the pool with the bathroom underneath is very special. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and on the first and last evening a very nice dinner was prepared by the neighbor, with ingredients from her own garden. Special wines were also served. Recommended!
Swimming pool is not heated as indicated on the Belvilla Site. According to the owner, this has already been repeatedly passed on to Belvilla, but this does not make any correction…?! We came with 4 children and are very disappointed because the pool is only 20 degrees! We would never have taken this location had we known! Shame for that price!
Fantastic house in a great location. Landlord and her family were very helpful. The house is a bit old so a couple of things needs replacing (dishwasher and fridge) and the internet is quite slow, but I would still very much recommend this place for anyone who’d like a charming spot in the countryside!
The mansion is isolated. No neighbors except the very nice owners. Without wanting to criticize, there would still be some repairs to be done. For people with travel problems, only the rooms in the annex are recommended. For others, access either to the room or to the toilets is via fairly steep stairs. Similarly, to bring suitcases, no smooth floor outside. They must be worn and vehicles are not allowed to approach. For washing personal laundry, it must be given to the owner who is in charge because it is a washing machine -special linen. The kitchen is very small. The living room is spacious. Otherwise, to be on vacation in peace, there is nothing better!
We were very well received! The accommodation was as described on the website. Here and there were small defects ... It is a very quiet area, surrounded by nature and quite far from large cities. It is really a holiday to enjoy with family the peace, the beautiful surroundings, the walking ... However, due to Covid-19 we have not made any restaurant visits.
Very beautiful natural place. A house with history. A bit of faded glory but we enjoyed it very much and the hostess was very friendly.
