When winter arrives, the region turns into a popular winter sports destination. About 15 kilometers away is Bad Kleinkirchheim, with over 100 kilometers of varied slopes and modern lifts. The Gerlitzen Alpe is also nearby (about 13 kilometers) and offers 50 to 55 kilometers of runs, combined with spectacular panoramas - perfect for beginners and advanced skiers.

Located idyllically in the heart of Carinthia, Afritzer See is known for its clear water and relaxed ambience. The well-maintained beach pools with sunbathing areas, jetties and mountain views invite you to swim, sunbathe and enjoy yourself. In the immediate vicinity, you will also find other well-known lakes, such as the Ossiacher See, Millstätter See, Brennsee and Faaker See.
