Opposite is Montisola, towards the south the road skirts the lake shore for several kilometres, making the area an oasis surrounded by water; heading north towards Lovere, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, the road that skirts the Bogn gorge, with its natural arches, is a must. Within a short distance are the Franciacorta wine cellars, the Presolana massif for high-altitude hiking, Valcamonica for archaeological tourism with its 300,000 rock engravings, the slopes of Colere and Monte Pora for hiking and skiing, and Boario for thermal baths.
