Stokeinteignhead is blessed with centuries of history, pubs that have welcomed work weary farmers fresh from the fields are now cosy nooks for you and your friends to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Down the hill into Shaldon, restaurants, bars and galleries are aplenty as you wander along the shore with the waves gently lapping at your feet. And if you like to beachcombe, each new tide will deliver all sorts of treats for those with sharp eyes for gathering the harvest. Across the river into Teignmouth will increase the tempo slightly, with cinema, theatre, shopping and even more beaches.
