Description
This unique atelier is tastefully decorated and blessed with a quiet, natural setting. 'The Atelier' is ideal for a relaxing getaway alone or with a partner. The best bakery in the Netherlands is across the street.
You can retreat here, easels are available, also writing a book is ideal here. The house is sheltered and at the same time it is a house with all the comforts and there is plenty to do nearby. Since the beginning of 2023, there is also a nice outdoor hot tub where you can get nice and warm.
You imagine yourself in the middle of nature here, and while enjoying the squirrels and singing birds you plan your next walking route through beautiful Drenthe, because it is located on the Pieterpad.
Through one of the beautiful nature reserves? Or through nice nearby towns such as Emmen, Meppel or the world-famous Giethoorn? With its location in the most central street of the quiet village of Sleen, you still have everything within easy reach from here.
Relax in the cozy living room with smart TV, sitting area and fireplace and indulge in the reading wall with various books provided by the owner. Through a beautiful spiral staircase in the living room you reach the spacious bedroom with comfortable box spring and sloping walls for a cozy atmosphere. You can show off your cooking skills in the kitchen and the luxurious bathroom is equipped with an advanced jet stream with lighting and radio, sink and toilet. In the sunny garden or under the veranda you can end the day relaxing. Or recently sitting in the brand new hot tub.
The house is located on the Pieterpad. It is at the beginning and at the end point of a route, so spending the night here is ideal.

House fully equipped, sympathetic and friendly landlords, beautiful outdoor seating areas and shops behind the garden fence!
A fantastic place to stay! Very tastefully decorated cottage. On the first floor a spacious bedroom with comfortable beds. Everything very clean and fully furnished. In the beautiful garden you can sit in various (romantic) places. Again, very tasteful "living rooms" have been created here. There is also a hot tub in the garden that you can use. We had a lot of fun with this and it definitely did the muscles very good after a few days of wonderful walking. Very friendly and hospitable couple, nothing is too much to make the guests feel comfortable. A big, big recommendation!!
We really enjoyed our short stay with the artist. Incredible friendly welcome. Everything you need is available and a nice and tasty gift awaits you upon arrival. We will definitely go back
It is a very nice accommodation. The hostess and host are very accessible and friendly. They want to help you with everything. The cottage is tastefully / artistically decorated and very clean everything. A lot of crockery, so you don't have a cupboard for your own food stuff. The attic where you sleep is very low, you have to bend down to get into your bed. But we didn't mind, it was doable. The area is also fantastic, lots to do and wonderful for walking or cycling.
The Atelier is a fantastic location! Arjan and Ingrid are super friendly and helpful. The Atelier is very nicely decorated and the terraces outside are very inviting. Furthermore, the location is at a central point from where you can cycle, walk or go out by car. Highly recommended !
