Description
Paulsen Cottage||Gelting
Together with the sexton's cottage, these two units form a semi-detached house under a rustic thatched roof. This historic gem in the old village center of Gelting formerly served as the residence of the church sextons. Later, it also housed an electrician named Paulsen, to whom the estate also owes its electrical wiring, as an electrical shop and business. In 2015, the house underwent extensive renovations, resulting in two charming holiday apartments whose names reflect the house's history. The large garden of this historic cottage is divided by a flowering hedge and borders the Geltinger Au stream. Bakeries, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance, and the Geltinger Birk nature reserve and nearby beaches are easily accessible by bicycle or car.
Furnished slightly differently, the Paulsen cottage and the sexton's cottage are distinguished primarily by the fact that only the Paulsen cottage has a wood-burning stove.
