The historic "Forsthaus am Brocken" (Brocken Forest Lodge), dating back to the 19th century, was extensively renovated a few years ago into comfortable holiday apartments. The holiday home is situated in the Ilse Valley, in the heart of the pristine Harz Forest, beside the wild mountain stream "Ilse." The most scenic ascent to the Brocken mountain, as well as other hiking trails into the Harz National Park, pass directly by the house. The three-bedroom apartment accommodates six people. It consists of a living area with a sofa and flat-screen TV, and a solid wood kitchen with a dining table. Two bathrooms with showers and toilets, as well as a balcony with views of the Harz Mountains' natural beauty, are also available.
