Compared to the neighboring town of Playa del Inglés, however, San Agustín is much quieter and more tranquil. Along the promenade you will find some excellent seafood restaurants as well as a selection of cafes, bars and shops and the beach is well sheltered making it ideal for families too. If you are looking for a little more variety, you can walk along the promenade to Playa del Inglés. Be sure to plan a day trip around the island. Discover, for example, the beautiful mountain villages of Teror and Fataga or the old town of the capital Las Palmas.
