Activities in the area: To experience the Hochwald, the heart of the Spreewald, from the water, you should of course take a boat through the Speech annals in the Spreewald. Start your tour directly from Alt Zauche, right on the edge of the beautiful Hoogelzen forest. You can also paddle the Spree yourself with a canoe. Also worth seeing is the castle island with its restaurants, the bistro Gurken-Paule and the boat harbor. Or enjoy a dip in the Spree Lagoon on warm days.
