Mountain bikers can start tours of the "Volksbank Arena Harz" routes here, and those who have not brought their own bike can easily rent a mountain bike or e-bike here. The small town is also a fantastic starting point for motorcyclists for the most beautiful trips.
In winter, Torfhaus is an interesting destination for skiers, cross-country skiers and sleigh riders: some beautiful cross-country ski trails, a drag lift for skiers and a toboggan lift exclusively for sleigh riders promise varied snow fun.

We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad in de Ferienhäuser in Torfhaus! Het huis was ruim, met een gezellige open haard die onze avonden extra speciaal maakte, De sauna was een geweldige toevoeging, perfect om te ontspannen na een dag wandelen in het prachtige Harz National Park, We hielden van het houten terras waar we onze ochtendkoffie konden drinken terwijl we genoten van het adembenemende uitzicht op de Brocken, De locatie is ideaal voor zowel wandelaars als mountainbikers, en we waardeerden de gemakkelijke toegang tot de paden, De gastheren waren ongelooflijk gastvrij en zorgden ervoor dat we alles hadden wat we nodig hadden, Dit is een plek die we ten zeerste aanbevelen voor een ontspannen uitje!
