The holiday home is in a quiet location in a small hamlet, about 1 km from a small village in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region. Saint Emilion, with its vineyards and medieval town (a UNESCO World Heritage site), is also nearby. Many circular routes lead through important wine regions and châteaux, and the region is also rich in historic villages with castles and palaces. In the village, about 1 km from the house, you'll find all the shops you need for everyday needs, such as a grocery shop with bakery products, a tobacconist's and newsagent's, and a hairdresser. In Gensac, around 2.5 km away, you'll find restaurants, cafés, two doctors and a pharmacy. But the region has much more to offer than just wine lovers and history buffs: depending on the season, you can also enjoy a variety of sports, including canoeing on the Dordogne, swimming and other water sports at Lac de la Cadie, around 5 km away, as well as tennis, microlighting, mountain biking, hiking and golf.
