Description
In the heart of the Bessin region, in Calvados, in the heart of the Normandy countryside, the Logis de la Motte is located at the entrance of a pretty 18th century family estate. It is an old independent cottage that has just been completely renovated by the owners, who have endeavoured to preserve the authentic character of this charming residence while providing all the modern comforts.
The gîte is located in Audrieu, halfway between Bayeux (14 km) and Caen (22 km). Ideally located near the landing beaches, the beautiful medieval town of Bayeux and the city of Caen, the Logis de la Motte will allow you to spend a cultural, sporting and/or relaxing holiday, according to your wishes.
The interior of the gîte is beautifully decorated. You can prepare delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Spend your evenings in the garden, sipping your favourite drink. Parking is also available.
On request it is possible to create an additional bedroom in the attic (3 single beds without furniture). All bedrooms have good quality Simmons beds.

It is a beautiful spacious house! Very attractive with a stove in the living room. Spacious kitchen and good bathrooms. Everything was perfectly clean. The location is very quiet and close to the N13, which takes you to Caen or Bayeux in no time. Good base for visiting the landing beaches. And very friendly owners. Baker at about 600 m for fresh croissants!
We stayed in the gite de la motte for one week in July 2024. The gite had recently been restored and this had been done well. The house has a lot of atmosphere and all that you need is there. There is quite some space around the house, and it is very quiet which is nice. The owners are very friendly and live in the castle next door. The surroundings are beautiful with lots of things to see and do. We would certainly recommend this nice house to others.

Dit gîte heeft alles wat je zou willen voor een gezinsvakantie, We hadden drie kinderen bij ons en zij genoten van het spelen in de tuin, De plek was erg schoon en de eigenaren waren ongelooflijk gastvrij, We zouden graag terugkomen!
