Lovely chalet with a large garden and terraces

This cozy chalet is located in the still untouched Gailtal in the southern province of Carinthia, 14 kilometers from the Italian border. The house is comfortably and practically furnished. The garden, with its two terraces and stunning mountain views, is south-facing and thus enjoys sunshine nearly all day. You can conveniently park in front of the door. The favorable location of the chalet guarantees a wonderful holiday with beautiful views of the Alps and the Dolomites.

The village of Kötschach-Mauthen has traditionally been a spa town and is known for its beautiful surroundings and healing air, nestled within breathtaking mountain formations. Due to its location on the southern side of the Alps, the region experiences snowy, cold but sunny winters and warm, Italian summers. In the pristine nature with stunning mountain landscapes, you can enjoy the peace and quiet wonderfully. The Kötschach-Mauthen-Vorhegg ski area is small but delightful and belongs to the tourist region of Nassfeld-Pressegger See. It offers a good selection of restaurants and shops, various hiking and biking trails, the Hike World with 25 themed paths, and a large swimming complex (the Aquarena water and wellness oasis). Other ski areas in the region include the Nassfeld ski area with 110 kilometers of slopes, the Zettersfeld ski area at the foot of the Schleinitz in the Lienzer Dolomites in East Tyrol with 21 kilometers of slopes, or the family-friendly Golzentipp ski area in Obertilliach in the eastern Tyrolean Hochpustertal with 12 kilometers of slopes. There are many activities such as hiking and mountain biking. In the summer, the natural swimming pool Waldbad Mauthen or the Pressegger See to the east of Hermagor provides plenty of swimming fun! There are many sporting activities in the region, both in summer and winter. From Kötschach-Mauthen, you can enjoy various beautiful hiking and Nordic walking routes. You can canoe and raft on the Gail, and there are many mountain biking and cycling routes. Nearby are lakes, such as the Presseggersee, with lovely beach areas where you can swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the fantastic views of the lake. You can golf at the Gailtail Golf course, which opened in 2009. Ice skating is possible on the Weissensee and the Presseggersee.
