Going downwards in the opposite direction, you reach the second bedroom and the garden room with a further outside access on the valley side. Between the seven levels and the sloping roof, a charming spatial modulation of narrowing and widening, intimate and wide-opening spaces is created. Each room area thus develops its own specific atmosphere, while views into the neighbouring room areas allow the spatial flow of the three-dimensional enfilade to be felt. Cyclists are recommended to take the Kosmos cycle path from Daun to Meerfeld. In summer, you can enjoy a relaxing swim in the Meerfeld maar, which is also well worth a visit at other times of the year. Manderscheid with its two castles and the wild and romantic Lieserpfad trail is also one of the highlights in the immediate vicinity. Otherwise, there are wonderful hiking and cycling opportunities in all directions directly from the house, even without a fixed route, and there is a large playground with a meadow for children in the village. The Nerother Kopf with the high old beech forest and the Freudenkoppe castle ruins is a mystical experience, especially in foggy weather.
