Activities nearby: Lübben stands for cultural enjoyment and relaxation in a unique natural landscape. Mass tourism is a foreign concept, as time moves a little slower here: The extensive Spree River system is ideal for exploring Lübben by boat or paddleboat. A boat tour, for example, takes you from the castle island through the idyllic streams of the city center and through magnificent nature reserves – truly letting you lose track of time and simply enjoy the experience. Families with young children visit the castle island with its water playground: In summer, younger guests can cool off under the waterfall or sail as pirates on a real wooden raft. There's a great place to build sandcastles and splash around in the watercourse with small dams and balance bikes. For older siblings, there are excavators with shovels.
