A holiday home with heart and history for the whole family (including the dog) We felt we were in good hands from the start, long before the actual stay began. Due to Covid we had to postpone the holiday in 2021 and our host Marti kept in touch with us until finally a year later we could embark on our long awaited holiday.We received a very warm welcome from Marti who made sure we didn't lack for anything. He was able to tell us a lot about the sights and the history of the area. He provided the house itself with many period materials in order to preserve the charm. In the house there is everything a family needs for a comfortable and relaxing holiday, no matter what the season. In addition, the house, especially the bedrooms, was pleasantly cool even at higher temperatures. There are various seating options in and around the house, which we used for a leisurely morning coffee or a breather when we weren't enjoying the sun and the water on the nearby beach or looking for fossil shark teeth. The location by the sea is perfect, so you can reach the beach in about 5 minutes on foot. If we had any questions, we could contact Marti at any time and he was always very happy to help. All in all, we felt very comfortable, would have liked to have stayed longer and can also imagine more vacations here.
What a lovely little house. We love this authenticity and the story behind such a place. Marti received us very kindly and showed us around the house and gave tips to do in the area etc. Watch your head on the upper floor, because everything is a bit lower and tighter than what you are used to at home!Under fully equipped.What we loved is the breakfast in the morning outside!You see the first beachgoers pass you and the bikes ride back and forth on the adjacent dike.Still sufficient privacy at the cottage Zelf.De verdronken polder is located directly on this house, beautiful piece of nature!
We had a great vacation. The cottage is very nice and has everything you need. In addition, the location is perfect. Marti was a very nice, helpful host. Again any time.
We had a nice holiday in this dike house. It is a characteristic house with an enclosed garden. We were very kindly welcomed by the landlord who enthusiastically told about the history of the house. They are small bedrooms but for us it was fine. Sea is on the other side of the dike so very close.
Lovely cozy house with a beautiful authentic look. Nice location with walking distance to the sea to take a walk along the sea at any time. Slightly less suitable for older people due to the steep stairs to the bedrooms. We have enjoyed the cottage.
The location of the cottage is great, so close to the sea. The cottage itself was authentic and cozy.
