Villa Montignac

Had a wonderful week's holiday in Montignac. Beautiful spacious villa where little is missing. Beds were made and the house was clean and fresh when we moved in. Warm welcome by the owner and given a tour. Lovely terrace where grandpa & grandma could watch how the rest of the family lay in the pool. This one is not "actively" heated, but with a kind of greenhouse that is pulled over it, and then hope that the sun does its part too. The water was a good temperature for us, so we were able to swim. The villa is also spacious enough not to get in each other's way or trip over the belongings. The kitchen offers all possibilities to cook for yourself, and in the utility room is a washing machine and a drier. The village is a short walk away, on the way back the pram has to be pushed a little harder :) . A supermarket can also be reached fairly quickly. No all in all a lovely stay. The villa is worth every euro.

A unique experience for myself, as we usually did an All-in holiday and rented a cottage for the first time. On arrival we received a heartwarming welcome and clear tour from the owners, Toby and Sophie, who make their beautiful home available. As a gift we were also offered 2 bottles of wine. We found the house spacious and very open! The bedrooms are equipped with fans which makes it more pleasant to sleep (no air conditioning, which would be even more of a plus given the heat). The spacious kitchen is well equipped. Equipped with an oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, .. with sufficient kitchen utensils available. The house is also equipped with 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite) as well as 2 separate toilets. There is a spacious covered terrace where you can enjoy shade all day long. In the morning you do have sun, which makes it pleasant to have breakfast. From the terrace you have a view of the garden with heated swimming pool. The pool is well maintained, which provides excellent cooling during the warm temperatures (but not directly at the house, first down the stairs and 20 meters towards the pool). You should take this into account if you have children who take afternoon naps or want to drink something. There are 6 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas (a plus would be extra beds given the number of people). Within walking distance you have the picturesque village of Montignac, with a bakery, butcher, restaurants, ice bar, ... During the months of July and August, many festivities are also planned! Very cozy! By car you can drive to the intermarche in less than 5 minutes. In short, we enjoyed a pleasant holiday in lively Montignac with 6 adults and 2 children! Thank you !

Had a very nice stay! Everything perfectly fine. Only downside was that there were only 6 sunbeds at the pool for a 9-person house. Recommended!
