The grand "Captain's Apartment," Lady Of The Lake, takes its name from the first steamship, a Scottish paddle steamer, which sailed the Elbe in 1816 and, anchored off Tangermünde, attracted a large crowd. From the apartment on the first and second floors, there is a spectacular view over the city walls, the Elbe, the Rosspforte gate, and up into the town. A bathtub and a shower prevent morning rush hours; a generously sized living room and several small "lookouts" ensure a comfortable and spacious feel. With its historic wooden floors and breathtaking "royal view" of the river, this light-filled maisonette apartment is the heart of our house, whatever the weather.
