The city's historic preservation regulations ensure solid construction with wooden windows and clay tiles; we ourselves prioritize natural materials and have used Brandenburg pine for the floors and weatherproof larch wood for the courtyard facade. Clay plaster and timber framing (even the newly restored sections are joined traditionally using only wooden pegs!) create an authentic living experience. There is a wood-burning stove on the ground floor, and the central heating is powered by a modern solar system and gas.
The location is ideal: a quiet side street, a sunny courtyard... right in the heart of the small town.
