Chateau Angelus
Villa on the edge of the Gulf of Durbuy
Description
Angelus is a recently modernized villa located on the edge of the Gulf of Durbuy, 3 km from Barvaux and 7 km from the center of Durbuy. The house is modernly furnished with three bedrooms (each with a double bed and one with an extra bunk bed). One bedroom has a private shower room with sink and dressing. The two other rooms share a bathroom with bath and double sink. The living room with lounge, dining table and open kitchen is located a few steps down and opens onto a spacious, south-facing terrace with covered jacuzzi. The garden is naturally wooded and leads to the golf course. The wood burning stove in the lounge and the covered jacuzzi make this property ideal for both summer and winter months. This property is only suitable for family use.

Cozy furnished & beautifully renovated house where everything is present.Quiet location in a dead end street.Nice garden overlooking the golf course
Nice weather and quiet. First impression very nice chalet but here and there some maintenance is required.
Modern cottage in good location. However, despite the fact that this is a new house, there were two handles broken (from the bathroom and bedroom) so that we could not close these doors. Only a detail because everything else was fine. Remember that you still have to pay for electricity separately and that the (otherwise wonderful) jacuzzi is an energy eater.
Beautiful, modern house with all necessary amenities, not far from Durbuy. Rooms are tidy, bathrooms are top notch. Only the jacuzzi occasionally did not work properly for an unclear reason, but that may have been our fault. Recommended!
DO NOT BOOK WITH BELVILLA (home to go), We stayed from 20 to 22 January in chateau Angelus. When we arrived there we had to pay a deposit of €750. Prior to our booking and stay, we were not aware of the extra costs for gas, water and electricity that would be charged. The fact that this was neither announced on the booking page nor mentioned by telephone, while we had contact with the landlords several times prior to our stay, is not a reasonable course of action. For example, we were not informed of the passing on of the meter readings, which we only found out when we left. All this has now turned our stay into a big disappointment. The jacuzzi has been on for 3 days - without making any announcement - while the temperatures were below zero this weekend. This has naturally led to a sky-high bill. Also 2x costs are charged for wood, which we have not consumed. 300€ for a two night stay is disproportionate and not the fault of the guests if this is not communicated in an adequate manner. In view of the above requests, we kindly asked to deduct this amount and to inform future guests about this in an honest manner so that financial setbacks can be prevented. We have not received a refund and have not received a response to date.
The house is very quietly located in a beautiful area. There are good beds and a very good shower. It's also cozy. Downsides we found that things were missing that are not at all difficult to provide. For example, there was no corkscrew (so to the neighbors with your bottle of wine), no teapot (so making tea in a pan for a week), no drying rack to hang your towels outside to dry, no whisk, no wooden spatulas. That's too bad. We had a nice week
