Le Travers
Holiday Home in Montclus near river
Description
Very pretty detached holiday home with a large garden, overlooking the river in the small, listed village of Montclus, in the Ardèche. Here, you will be close to many tourist sites, and only 15 km from Vallon Pont d'Arc. This place is ideal for a vacation with family.
Montclus is a superb little medieval village with just 150 inhabitants, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. It sits on a hill surrounded by lavender fields in fine weather, and lush green mountains. The narrow, steep streets, pretty stone houses, and imposing square turrets, remnants of the old castle, give this little village plenty of character. The famous Chauvet cave is just 27 km away.
The house has been beautifully restored, with a modern kitchen, a pleasant, shaded terrace at the front to contemplate the view, and a large sloping garden giving direct access to the river Cèze, where you can swim in complete tranquillity. The house also has WiFi that works fine on the phone, laptop, and tablet. You enter the house via a staircase that leads to the upper floor. To the side of the house is a parking area, perfect for a game of boules. In the basement, the garage has space for 2 cars.

Arrival was overwhelming. Montclus is a beautiful small medieval village accessible only to residents by car. The holiday home is located just outside the village, accessible via an old bridge over the Cèze and a narrow road. On arrival, the owner was immediately present. We were kindly received. The house is in very good order and complete. Ondanks that we do not speak the French language, the communication was reasonably understandable. The house is completely fenced and offers a lot of privacy from which you can view " balcony” have a beautiful view From your house, walk down and swim in the clear cèze. Our dog, just like us, had a world time during our holiday. Plenty of opportunity for swimming, walking, and visiting villages and towns.fam. Mulderij
We were here for 10 days, late April to early May, with beautiful sunny weather. Quiet and beautifully situated, typical southern French house with a large private area around it with many seating areas. Spacious house with beautiful, sunny balcony overlooking the river and many trees with all kinds of birds. There is a nice kitchen, but given the large dishwasher relatively a somewhat limited amount of cutlery and crockery. Friendly hostess.
This cottage was fantastically located and well maintained. Village is very nice and the river is clear with lots of fish. Really enjoyed.
Perfect stay, l 'accueuil impeccable environment awesome quiet and superb ideal for a family looking for calm and back to nature on a beautiful property with a large and beautiful stone house and direct access to the river with large perfect garden for 1chien
We spent 10 days family vacation in the house. The house is very idyllic, right on the river and on the outskirts. It is very quiet and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Shops can be reached in the neighboring villages in a few minutes. In the slightly wider area there are many attractions to discover. Montclus is an ideal starting point. The inhabitants of the place and especially the landlady are very friendly. We felt comfortable all around.
