Description
Château de Comborn Riverside Gite with Private River Access in the Vézère Valley
Nestled along the banks of the River Vézère between the Dordogne and Corrèze regions, Les Rives de Vézère offers an atmospheric riverside escape set within a former outbuilding of the historic Château de Comborn. Once an inn and river warehouse, this carefully restored holiday home blends centuries of French heritage with modern comforts, providing direct access to the water for swimming, canoeing, or relaxing by the riverbank.
The main interior features a spacious living area centred around a traditional French cantou fireplace, alongside a fully equipped kitchen with a large central island and dining table. Accommodating families, multi-generational groups, or friends, the layout includes three spacious bedrooms, each complete with its own private ensuite bathroom and toilet. A separate flat located in the former warehouse offers its own private entrance and can be seamlessly integrated into the main house via lockable connecting doors for added privacy.
Outdoors, lush green gardens surround the house, creating a peaceful setting for morning breakfasts and evening stargazing. Located just ten minutes from the vibrant town of Objat—famous for its Sunday market, local shops, and dining—and within easy reach of Brive-la-Gaillarde, the property serves as a perfect base for exploring regional castles, hiking and cycling trails, and local French gastronomy.
Due to its exceptional riverside location, with direct access to the water from the grounds, this house is not suitable for children under the age of 10 for safety reasons. Babies are, however, welcome.
